Czech Grand Canyon (Velká Amerika, Big America)

Almost right next to Karlštejn, one of the most picturesque places in the Czech Republic, which was created by man. It is a complex of several quarries – Great America, Mexico and Little America. The largest quarry is called the Czech Grand Canyon (or Velká Amerika), and is the most beautiful of all canyons due to its lake. Its size is 750 x 150 meters, the depth reaches 100 meters and the lake depth is 13 meters. Steep cliffs, blue water at the bottom of the canyon make this place very interesting for walks, and thanks to the observation platforms you can make beautiful photos.
